Belleville Washers are designed to be loaded in the axial direction. Belleville Washers can be statically loaded, either continuously or intermittently or cyclically deflected. Belleville Washers variable spring characteristics can be achieved by the arrangement of disk springs into stacked columns. Belleville Washers are used for maximum "load build up" with minimum washer deflection. Belleville Washers are used singly and provides a larger washer load in smaller spaces

Fibre Washers are manufactured in .010 up to .125 thicknesses. Outside diameters for the Fibre Washers range from 0.187" through 3.000". Standard and special off the shelf Fiber Washers are available from Superior Washer.
Metric Washers are used under the head of a bolt or nut to distribute the forces applied when tightening. Stainless Steel is one type of metric washer. It is an alloy with high corrosion resistance and is the material of choice for most exterior and marine applications that use these Metric Washers. Steel grade 8 washers are made from medium carbon steel and zinc plated. Metric Washers are best for general hardware use.
