1008 Steel Milspec Belleville Washers - Request for Information

1008 Steel: is an economical, general purpose steel grade offering moderate strength and toughness. As a standard grade, 1008 steel is used in many common, low-stress applications.

Milspec: Military standards are most often defined by an efficient operation and substantial longevity in inhospitable or rugged conditions and environments.

Belleville Washers: are non-flat, cupped washes that provide load-bearing and deflection properties due to a subtitle conical shape. In addition to introducing spring and flexibility characteristics to the seal, Belleville washers function as locking devices in low dynamic load applications.
