What temperature can mica washers withstand?
Mica is one of the most thermally stable electrical insulating materials available. Muscovite mica retains its insulating properties up to approximately 1000 degrees F (540 degrees C), and phlogopite mica is rated to approximately 1800 degrees F (980 degrees C). This makes mica washers suitable for applications that exceed the capability of plastics and most other non-metallic insulators.
